Help disabled

Set up the Leonard Cheshire Home for the disabled in Kunming to help disabled people receive physical therapy and vocational training. Establish a primary healthcare and convalescence fund for the disabled.

Support education

Build a Hope Primary School in Tianjin Baodi County to enable children from poor families to receive an education. Establish "Health House" at "GuangAi" primary school, a special school for orphans and disabled children, to help improve those children's health conditions by offering cash, medicines, medical devices and health education. Set up education fund at Guanghua School of Management of Peking University to help students from poor family to complete their studies and support innovation activities.

Encourage innovation

Support Chinese Preventive Medical Association (CPMA) to set up CPMA Science and Technology Prize. It is the China first science prize in preventive medical field.

Assist disaster victims and public health issue

When disaster or public health crisis strikes, we responses quickly. We have donated funding, medicines, medical equipment and sanitary materials to help disaster relief efforts, such as those of the South China flood, the Heilongjiang river flood, the Zhangjiakou earthquake in the 1990s, the Yunnan Yongsheng earthquake in 2001, SARS in 2003 and the tsunami in Indian Ocean in 2004.

Especially in 2008 we quickly respond to the call for help in the Sichuan earthquake relief and rescue effort. Our aid efforts to the devastating earthquake exceed Rmb11 million, including cash and medicine donation from GSK globally and China organization; our China personal staff donations also exceed Rmb1 million.

Support rural areas

Participate in "Health Express" program organized by the "Health News" and donate medicine to China's Inner Mongolia, Aba County of Sichuan Province and Tibet; donate medicine and medical equipment to Yunnan Red Cross Society and ADR Monitoring Centre of Tibet Autonomous Region; donate vaccines to poor rural areas.

Support rural areas

We actively involve in the activities of improving healthcare conditions in remote areas by providing medicines, vaccines, medical devices and funds. Our contributions have reached rural areas in the provinces of Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Tibet, Yunnan and Hunan.
